The
entire Western United
States, with the
exception of the
California Central
Valley, is
designated as
Mountainous Terrain.
Our Mountain
Flying program takes a
practical approach to
developing mountain and
bush flying skills.
A morning
workshop will include a
flight planning exercise
and an emphasis on the
finer techniques of the
arrival and landing
phase.

Art
Hayssen, NAFI Master
Instructor, Aviation
Safety Counselor, ATP and
Flight Instructor since
1980, has been active
in
the aviation community in
the Santa Rosa, CA area
since 1978.
With over 7,000
hrs. of flight instruction
given, Arts instructor
certificate includes
airplane single & multi-engine land
and sea, and instrument
ratings.
Art has conducted
classes for the Civil Air
Patrols Mountain Flying
course and has flown
extensively throughout the
most rugged and remote
regions of the Western US,
Canada, Alaska, Mexico
& Southern Africa.
